Renumbering devices and sockets is useful when designing a new system with numbering that depends on the device and socket names. For existing systems, use caution when renumbering, since the cable numbers should match the cable numbers that have already been installed on site.
To renumber selected devices or sockets in the drawing:
1. Select the devices or sockets to renumber.
Selected devices are renumbered in the order in which they were drawn.
2.Do one of the following:
● Select the Renumber Devices command.
● Select the Renumber Sockets command.
The Labeling Options dialog box opens. Select either numeric or alphabetical labeling.
Click
to show/hide the parameters.
