The Create Schematic View command creates dynamic 2D views of rigging and any attached loads. You can create the schematics before or after you have finished designing in 3D. The schematic views are linked with the model, so applicable edits are transferred between the model objects and their schematic instances; see Concept: Schematic views.

To create a schematic view:

1.      Select one or more rigging objects, and select the command.

The Create Schematic View dialog box opens.

2.Set the desired options.

A schematic view is created for each rigging object and its attached loads. The schematic views are inserted at the document origin. If multiple schematic views were created, they are inserted next to each other based on the stacking order of the parent rigging objects. All schematic objects are inserted in the active class.

In most cases, the orientation of a schematic load matches the load’s orientation as set on the model rigging object. However, if the load and rigging objects are rotated at different angles, the schematic load’s orientation may not match the model for visibility reasons.

Within the schematic view, lighting devices and other load objects can be added, removed, and repositioned; see Managing loads for more information.
